Founded in December 2009 by former national swimmer Lynval Lowe, Swimaz Aquatic Swim Club & Learn To Swim Program is registered with the Aquatic Sports Association of Jamaica. This prestigious affiliation helps the club to develop a nationally recognised aquatic program. Lowe used to coach at several clubs for 20 years before he decided to start his own club.
The club registered 8 swimmers initially and currently has an active membership of almost 50 swimmers. A total of 30 swimmers was selected for the national squad training program at the senior, junior and development levels in 2010, 2011 and 2012. There are currently 7 members on the team including the director, secretary and 1 ex-officio member.
Swimaz Aquatic Swim Club & Learn To Swim Program seeks to have an internationally recognised aquatic program. Its vision is to teach and train all levels of swimmers while focusing on individual progress, team unity, and family participation. The club promotes personal growth and development.
At Swimaz Aquatic Swim Club & Learn To Swim Program, the mission is to have more members join our club and increase the number of swimmers from our club on the national squad.
